WORLD YOUTH DAY, SAN ANTONIO
Wanted to be a part of
World Youth Day, but couldn’t fly all the way to
Australia? That’s O.K. San Antonio is going to
have its own celebration on July 19, 2008
downtown at the Main Plaza in downtown San Antonio
in the shadow of the historic San Fernando
Cathedral. Youth and young adults from in and
around San Antonio will gather to celebrate Faith
and Life in spiritual union with the universal
gathering in Sydney. As the attendees take in the
beauty of the Plaza, they will come together and
learn from exciting speakers geared toward the youth
of today and the issues they face on their way to
adulthood. They will also be able to celebrate with
some of the most popular musical groups around. In
the evening the Holy Mass will be celebrated by
Archbishop Jose Gomez for all to attend.
After Mass, OCP Recording Artist, Josh
Blakesley, will complete the day with an
exciting concert. World Youth Day San Antonio 2008
will end at 10 p.m.
Want to be a part of the fun with Youth Ministry?
